1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 cup margarine 1/2 cup cooked carrots or peas (or combination of both) 1 garlic clove, minced 1 cup whole wheat flour Milk Combine the cheese and margarine. Mix in the carrots and/or peas, garlic and flour. Add enough milk to form for a stiff dough ball. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll dough out on floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into desired shapes. Bake at 375*F (190*C) for 15 minutes or until nicely browned.

That would be good for a treat--but dogs and cats need meat.

it is just a treat... not a meal. . my dog is weird. she eats cat food. I am getting better at my meal plan for the pets now. all the cats but 2 (sometimes 3) stay outside so I slide them their cat food beside the door twice a day. the inside kitten, smoky, has his food now up on my storage table... (don't ask ) and I mix a can of wet food with the kitten chow. and am trying to get the dog to eat the darn dog food which is on the floor. she went for about 3 days once and didn;t eat anything! I have tried just about everything in the store too. but she does eat the canned food. so I mix it now with the dry.. but the cats like the darn dog food! grrr. !! when I first got her back she disappeared for 5 days. she came back full of ticks and fleas. then she was throwing up and could not eat. rushed her to the doctor and she had "twisted gut" due to not eating so long. so I am a little scared for her not to eat. that was serious stuff there! does anyone have any recipes for dogs. something besides the store crap. I tried the raw meat thing and it gave her the runs. so I wormed her and will not do that again

Never give cats or dogs raw meat.Cats should not eat dog food--not enough nutrition for them--the cat food on the other hand won`t hurt the dog.Whenever you give them dog food and they won`t eat it--put some warm fat from bacon or beef on it and let it soak in before feeding it to the dog.For a treat I use to let my dog have some sausage gravt mixed in his food occassionally--mix it well and coat all his dry dog food.

hey I have tried so many things . I found if I buy the really cheap crap and put some gravy or milk over it she will eat it but she don;t look very happy. hahaha I swear she snarls her lips up hahahah. I tried the bacon grease . grease don;t work well for the cats or the dog. gives the dog tummy problems and the cats throw up so I don;t do that any more. hahaha raw meat is something that some really believe in for dogs but I will never do it again for mine. tried it once and never again. it was a baddddd idea . I paid dearly for that mistake. poor my dog!
