ducks eyes icky

one of the ducks has icky white eyes. I talked to the lady's husband and he said that one did that all the time.. just freaking great.. what the heck is it and what can I do? am already mad at her after a conversation I had with a friend now I find out there is something wrong with the ducks she sold me.. I guess I am going to get another sitter soon as I can find one... long long damn story....

I know little about ducks , but this is what I would do,get a bottle of "Neosporin Eye/Ear" drops, and VERY GENTLY cleaned the animals eyes (use a fresh clean cloth for each eye) and then drop in one or two drops in each eye. Then drop in each ear as well, and gently massaged down to drip into the ear canal, and hopefulley the sinuses as well.

It should/will take about two weeks from the start of infection to be better.

If I can catch it. .. marty said it has had that off and on for as long as they had them tho.. and this is the only one that does it.. poor thing.. looks like thick cateracts (spelling??) today it actually looks a little better but not much. I am changing the water 2 x a day from now on. I think it is because they get the water so nasty and then dip their faces in .. nasty yuck!!

anyway I have to go back out. I let them out in the run today need to make sure they are ok.

I guess that was his way to cull that duck--pass it on to someone else--I wouldn`t deal with that person again. Try what I told you and if it doesn`t work--either have it checked or cull it.--Don`t risk other birds of yours.
