when am I going to get some eggs from these ducks?? have checked every day and nothing yet.. they don't seem to like me.  they run from me when I get near ..  am thinking of geting goats next  |

need to feedthem--stand out there and feed them as you would pigeons--need to earn there trust.Eggs in the spring--since they are new. Darn CRS--Can`t remember if mine laid any in the fall or winter.

Hey Ar, I think BW might be right, but I'm not sure either cuz I never had any females. I only have drakes cuz I live in the city. The females are just too noisy for here. You might be able to find out on FeatherSite.
Goats, huh?  I used to have goats!  I miss them. I would highly recommend Nigerian Dwarf goats... they stay little, and the does produce milk if you breed them. Although wethers don't have any hormones floating around, so they would make great pets. I wish I could get some more ND's... I miss my baby so much. He was a real darling!

lady out the road.. the one with the dog has goats for sale.. not sure what kind they are but will see her tomorrow I hope. so my ducks only lay at certain times of the year??!! I was expecting them to lay every day like the chickens hahah. I have checked every day except the past few days..
I have a hen ,,maybe 2 that is eating the darn eggs grrrr... I caught her.. the black one. I only have 2 black hens and am so disappointed in her. I will sell her I guess. I hate that...

 what a terrible thing to say!! just kidding .. I can't eat her she is also the bumble foot one. so might have to kill her.. hate that. bumble foot is healed but she has the scar or something still there. welp off to do my Sunday chores and then to the groc store and walmart for extension cords. wish I could sleep all day. man is supposed to come "sometime" today. I am not sitting around here waiting. that is so rude to just show up when he feels like it. huh?? oh he is looking at the chickens not me ;D
