There's always the fan, or blowing it with a hair dryer after the shower. But who wants to take the time? Instead, the next time you clean your mirror, use shaving cream! It smears, so you have to wipe it down well, but when you get out of the shower, you can still see in it! That is the power of shaving cream.

Well, who the heck wants to SEE themselves when they get out of the shower???!!! I want to dry off as quickly as possible (cuz I'm COLD!), and get dressed in something warm an' fuzzy! (that'd be BOB!) No, , not really him... well... sometimes... but not always. Well, yeah, always, but... oh crud! You know what I mean!

I heard once that if you cut a potato, a raw one, in half, and rub it over your windshield it will keep it clear. I never tried it, so I don't know if that works. I also think they meant the outside of the windshield. And now that I'm thinking about it, I don't recall if they meant keeping it clear of fog or the rain, in case your wipers broke. Oh well... I'm a bbbbiiiiiggggg help, aren't I?

Oh, I just thought of something! Divers will spit on the inside of the glass of their masks to keep them from fogging. (I once went snorkeling in the Caribbean and the guide told us that.) So, Ar, spit on your windshield! LOLOL ;D ;D ;D

I have the rainx , an old bottle somewhere....but it is for the outside.. I might buy the spray on kind and see what it does.. can't see squat

and now my high beam head light went out Friday night..
never fails does it?? you start getting caught up and splurge on a washing machine hose and then this happens..

the other day I sat out on the ground..in the rain.. and took the back door window motor off to see why my wondow would not roll down for the past 2 years. yes I am slow hahhaa

and took the motor apart.. and it was so rusty inside. so I cleaned it up and did you know there is some huge magnets int here and if you don't put it back to gether right it will shoot the darn thing across the yard??

well I do... now.. ;D

anyway I finally got it moving again and greased it up...this time NOT with axle grease and tried to put it back together.. let me tell you there were parts I had no idea what to do with ;D but I finally got most of it back.. all but a huge spring... but after working on it and screaming all sorts of words that would make a sailor blush I found the part that I put in the tool box and then got it back together.. ;D

yayy.. not my window goes down.. and even goes back up!!!!!!!!! damn I am good!! hahahhaha

that saved me what?? about $75 repair bill.. takes $50 for them to even walk to the car ;D ;D I should have been a mechanic. man I would be rich screwing people over.. hahahha.

then I tackled the washing machine. took off the hose that lets the water go out... you know ?? the thingy ma jigger.. and took it to the repair man and he gave me another... well for $14 he gave me one so I came home and now we don't have to swim to go pee in the potty!!

and that saved me a repair bill of about $50


now what else needs repairing.. ?? wonder if I can get my heater coil in have to take the dash board out for that...

Damn, Ar! You ARE good! The driver side window won't work in my truck. Come fix it... PLLLEEEAAASE??? It started giving me trouble right after I had that window replaced after someone smashed it in. I think that was in July. I went back to the glass place who replaced my window, but they said it wasn't their fault. Also, they could fix the problem. However, from the sound of it when you press the button to make the window go down, they said the motor and regulator needed to be replaced and it would cost $270. YIKES!!! So, I've been driving around without the ability to make my window go up and down. It's rather an inconvenience since I like to use the drive-thru window at the bank. Oh well. Hey... maybe you can email the directions to me on how to fix it myself. But I don't have much in the way of tools. The ex took most of them. Shucks!

those window people prob left a piece of glass stuck in there somewhere.. the idiots. just kidding wondow people... just the ones that did mine when someone dropped a rock through left glass all over and AND if I hadn't went out when I did they would have left it there.. they said they didn't think it was working BEFORE the glass was broken and I said YES it was so they took it apart again and there was glass wedged in there.... that was the front glass the back one is the one i fixed

OK get:
1) a long strong flat screw driver
2) 2 little flat screw drivers
3) 2 pairs of needle nose pliars
4) one huge pair of pliars just in case hahhaha
5) lots of that spray on lithium grease.. I think that is what it is.. spray on but like the kind in the tube....
6) rags...lots of rags to lay parts on and to clean your hands
7) speaking of cleaning your hands get some of that go joe or gunk stuff that men use to clean the grease off the hands cause let me tell you it is n-a-s-t-y stuff hahaha
8) some of those things that pop the door thingy back on.. you know after you finish and find out the little clip things broke when you popped the inside of the door off...
9) a hammer.. cause if you do all this and it still don't work then you will want to jsut take the hammer and beat the shit out of it!!! ;D

ok get the big screwdriver and open the car door..
take the screw driver and then realize you have to unscrew the door handles off maybe so go search for a phillips screwdriver.. hahha

now just sit on the cold wet ground hahaha and look in it and just stare at it for a while.. think about that hammer and wonder when to use it...




ok see the motor yet?? unplug it.. first see if the idiots plugged it back and turn on your car key... backwards so you can try it ...

nope?? then look for the screws and use the philips screwdriver and take the 3 screw out that is holding it to the door.. then think OMG!! what am i doing. hahha..

then say well it can't hurt it and that will save ont he labor charge if I do need to buy a motor.. damn thing ain't working anyways!!

ok got it off yet?? might have to twist and shove it a while to get it out..

push the button to see if it works without the gears on the window gears that way you will know if it is the motor or the window (or gears) that is jammed... or rusted.. how long did it take till the window got in ?? did it get rained on?

ok if the motor is not turning with it out of the door make sure it is plugged in still ok if it is not working then take the oil and spray it all in the motor and wait a few minutes and see if it works..

If not then get the big flat screw driver and pop off the big metal cap thingy and look inside.. watch out cause there are springs in there hahhaa believe me .. I thought I would never get it back in ahhaha..

never mind just skip that step until you are brave enough to tackle the spring... instead take the screwdriver.


WAIT ... first unplug it!! and turn the key off so you won;t run the battery down hahha.

ok now unscrew the screws on the end and take them out and lay them on a rag don;t lose them or you are screwd!! ok? pull the casing off .. try to pull the entire thing out and the gear thingy should comeo ut too.. watch out there are some little BB's in each end for some reason.... don;t lose them. I am sure they are there for some reason ;D

ok take it out already look in there and spray some grease in there and then take the pliars and see if it will turn.. grease it all up really good and then stick it back in and make sure the bb's are still there.. might have to take the screwdriver and clean the rust out. I sure did.... the gears were so rusty there were chunks coming off..

ok screw it all back together plug it back in and turn the key on.. and then see if the gears go round and round!!

if not then you gotta go in deeper and do more surgury.. take a break and get a cup of coffee and yell at the cats for messing with things and the chickens for eating the bb's I told you not to lose haha ;D

now! take the screwdriver and and pop off the big metal cap thingy off.. it will have a rubber gasket around there somewhere but don;t worry about it. cause it don;t have to come off hhahhaa.

after the cap is off then there is a lock thing on the metal bar that sticks up.. washer that is what it is .. a lock washer.. hahha take either the needle nose pliars and take it off or do it the hard way and use the screwdrivers like i tried to do

put the washer down on a rag.. don't lose it.. take a little screw driver and wedge the huge round white thigs out and try to pry the heavy looking metal thing out..

dig on in there and just take stuff out til you find the problem.

don't worry about messing it up .. if it is broke already what the hell are you going to mess up!!

Uuummm... gee, thanks, Ar. It musta taken you quite a while to type all that out. I really appreciate the trouble you went to for me. Thanks! It sure sounds like it's a pretty involved chore, though. Can I just pay you to do it??? Hows about next spring? I don't use my window much in the wintertime, so I think I can get by til spring. And, uh, we don't have the tools you listed to do the job... and Bob thinks it'd be kinda 'spensive to go out and buy tools that'd prob'ly be used only once. So... whataya say??? Can ya do it??? oh I found someone to fix my heater coil for under a hundred bucks compared to the $400 I was quoted at the garage..

my sitter (the mother of the uh well the OTHER sitter ) and her husband must like me. they asked their friend/neighbor if he would look at it and see if he can do it! wow. he looked last night and said when do you wnat it done? so I said I don't know cause I don't have any money like I told them.. I am so broke.. he said he would do it for under a hundred. so I said I can bring it Sunday!! ;D yayy!! no more freezing my toes off when at work!!! yayyy!!
